Project Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to provide coordination and support to the project team, enabling efficient project execution. The ideal candidate will identify gaps in project management processes and lead improvements to both processes and the ERP system. While prior project management experience is preferred, candidates with experience executing multiple projects at an automation systems integrator will be strongly considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from kickoff to closeout, serving as the primary point of contact for customers.
• Coordinate and prioritize project team activities to meet project objectives.
• Develop and manage project schedules and oversee project costs.
• Manage the project action items list using the Sapience ERP system and coordinate team members.
• Facilitate customer project meetings and manage the open items list.
• Oversee customer acceptance for project milestones.
• Coordinate subcontracted trades for installation, system commissioning, and acceptance.
• Develop installation bid packs (with engineering and operations support) for projects requiring skilled trade contractors and assist in subcontractor selection.
• Manage installation and commissioning to achieve customer acceptance.
• Identify and implement improvements to the project management process, including new processes, existing process enhancements, or ERP system upgrades.
• Work with Engineering and Purchasing to develop key partner vendors.
• Coordinate Lessons Learned activities post-project to standardize successes and address areas needing improvement.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the robotic or automation industry.
• Post high-school degree in a technical discipline.
• Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office applications.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus (training will be provided if not already certified).
• Prior experience coordinating automation projects.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective at facilitating problem-solving internally and with customers.
• Able to read mechanical and electrical prints.
• Ability to motivate team members while keeping them on task.

Additional Details

• Travel to customer sites is required to support system installations and production.
• Role is exempt but eligible for overtime due to the nature of robot integration, which may involve busy periods.
