About the role
We are seeking a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Project Manager to join our team in one of our New England offices. This role involves working closely with engineers and scientists on air services projects, including air emissions estimating, permitting, dispersion modeling, and compliance reporting for clients in solid waste, industrial, and energy sectors. The position offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth, client interaction, and meaningful contributions to project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of technical reports, data tables, specifications, and other deliverables.
- Prepare air emissions estimates for various equipment and facility types.
- Prepare air permit applications and routine/non-routine compliance reports.
- Review and interpret air compliance data and regulations.
- Perform air dispersion modeling and prepare related documentation.
- Advise clients on complex air permitting pathways and emissions controls.
- Manage air permit compliance tracking for multiple large clients with multiple facilities.
- Prepare proposals and budgets for air permitting and compliance projects.
- Coordinate with project team members and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth/Atmospheric Science, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in air permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements
- Requires sitting, walking, bending, and prolonged standing.

- Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Close visual acuity for data analysis, transcription, and computer work.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Schedule
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday with flexible daily hours.
- Hybrid or fully remote, depending on candidate location.
- Occasional travel (less than 25%).
Candidates may be based near our offices in Burlington, VT; Bedford, NH; Boston, MA; Horsham, PA; or Wilmington, DE — or work fully remote.
Pay
The expected base salary range for this position is $105,000 to $125,000 per year. Specific compensation will be based on experience, education, training, qualifications, and work location. Supplemental pay includes an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
