Responsibilities
- Manage project cost, including but not limited to procurement, capital expenditures, equipment, timely billing and receivables, labor coordination and efficiency
- Coordinate with the project controls group to ensure earned value, productivity and schedule updates
- Interface with key business unit leaders in the RDC organization to maintain structure efficiency
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers on Capital Projects
- Track progress of projects against goals, objectives, timelines and budgets
- Monitor expenses to ensure they fall within the prescribed budget
- Previous experience in project management of large scale facilities and/or federal and state contract (medium to high voltage distribution projects preferred)
- Work experience tracking and updating schedules, RFIs, submittals, payment analysis, review of ongoing work at the site, attendance of meeting and project coordination with the customer
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or similar field; will consider equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in multi-discipline project management
- Strong ability in planning, analysis, project management, and processes; first-rate organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, with excellent attention to details and follow through to ensure successful projects every time
- Strong knowledge of estimating, construction, design, finance, and budgeting
- Strong ability to manage outcomes on projects for success
- Excellent MS Office and construction management software skills; Primavera experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present well and collaborate with clients in a professional way
- Able to mentor, lead, and train others
- Strong customer focus; excellent ability to handle multiple projects with thoroughness and accuracy
- Advanced leadership and mentoring abilities; excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Highly accountable with a strong quality & safety focus; able to work through conflict
- Flexible and adaptable to change; supportive of a team
