About the Role
Coordinate with Management and other Stakeholders to implement new or modified products from design concept to production implementation. This includes developing and maintaining requirements documents, schedules, manpower resource requirements, budgets, risk assessments, and other management tools for assigned projects.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within aircraft design and manufacturing. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
Responsibilities
- Initiate, plan, execute, control, and close assigned projects.
- Conduct meetings and facilitate group decision-making processes.
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the project team.
- Keep Management and others informed about project status and issues.
- Create program presentations and briefings.
- Develop and maintain project governing documents, including:
- Requirements and Statement of Work
- Risk, Issues, and Opportunity logs
- Cost and Schedule tracking
- Create and maintain integrated project schedules, including coordination of resources.
- Maintain oversight of assigned projects to ensure they remain within scope, schedule, and budget parameters.
- Track and report cost and schedule performance.
- Interface with vendors to ensure necessary procurement of parts and materials for specific projects.
- Prepare technical reports.
- Administer project databases.
- Train and assist other employees, partnering and collaborating on department and cross-functional initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- BA/BS in business, STEM field, or equivalent (required).
- 2-3 years of project management/coordination experience (required).
- Degree in Engineering or Business with Aeronautical/Aerospace discipline (preferred).
- General knowledge and skills in cross-functional coordination, including:
- Design engineering
- Methodization and manufacturing planning
- Production control
- Supply chain management
- Manufacturing engineering
- Aircraft fabrication and assembly
- Quality management, testing, and certification
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows-based computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.

Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to talk and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Moderate physical effort, occasionally lifting and/or moving light to moderately heavy materials up to 35 lbs.
Working Conditions
- Frequently exposed to both office and plant environments.
- May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet/slippery floors, and temperature/humidity extremes.
- Regular interaction with staff, employees, vendors, suppliers, community members, and regulatory agency representatives.
- Travel and overtime may be required.
