We chase down the next “holy smokes, they actually did that” moment. And then, we do it again. The RoleWe are looking for a Project Manager in our Morgan Hill, CA facility. Our PMs manage multiple projects with a wide range of scope and deliverables. Projects include tradeshow, events, activations, permanent installations, all kinds of experiential work. They provide engineering solutions and help figure out ways to meet a challenge like, “How are we gonna build a windmill for this activation in seven days?” What You’ll DoWork with project teams to provide value engineering solutions, specify material, hardware, electrical/lighting specifications and building techniques. You get the design, the estimate and the details and you make it happen!Move projects through their timeline, budget, and deliverables. Get to YES!Create and maintain a flexible and evolving production schedule and overall project budgetMaintain work orders through lifecycle of project for accuracy, intended expectation, execution and final quality assuranceCreate and maintain change orders, keep all documentation in orderFacilitate and host meetings with project teams, act as information liaison between all team membersDevelop a robust external vendor networkManage external vendors; provide drawings, check quality, manage output and schedulesTravel for on-site inspection and supervision as needed Who You AreMinimum of 5 years of work experience in project management, production management, or as a producerExtensive knowledge of exhibit or event industryExperience with woodworking and metal fabricationEngineering/technical mind that can provide solutions to wacky challengesKnowledge of standard fabrication tools and techniques and blueprintsAn extensive vendor network or the ability to build one and experience sourcing and managing vendors; experience as a vendor in wood, metal, fabrication helpfulStrong written and oral communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to lead and positively influence all project members towards client goalsExperience managing budgets and change order processProficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP, various collaboration and PM software and techniquesAbility to multitask and problem solve at a high levelFamiliarity with the current Autodesk suite of programs is idealCollege degree preferredFlexible schedule to accommodate project deadlinesAble to travel for client presentation, site surveys, show site installation Not For You If…You don’t enjoy digging into details or double-checking your workYou’d rather stay in your lane than jump in and help someone outYou get frustrated by questions instead of seeing them as part of the jobYou’re quick to point out problems but slow to build solutions Why Pinnacle?You love live events, you’re a born tinkerer, you like seeing big brands come to lifeYou want to be part of a fun company in the Morgan Hill area.
