About the role
Patriot Erectors LLC is seeking a motivated Structural Steel Project Manager to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in steel structures, overseeing the progress of each assigned project in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess vendor proposals.
- Manage multiple parallel projects using formal project planning techniques.
- Set up projects in the PE system.
- Establish PE fabrication schedules and objectives.
- Cookordinate subcontractors.
- Communicate progress towards production, financial, quality, and safety goals to internal and external stakeholders.
- Negotiate change orders.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships.
- Oversee process improvements in projects that are likely to have few precedents and may have an enterprise-wide impact.
- Monitor/manage vendors and vendor relationships.
- May prepare, present, and distribute project and program information to various groups, both internal and external to the organization.
- Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning, and manage software and hardware availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Ten years of general and five years of project management experience in the structural steel industry – commercial fabrication experience is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- AISC Manual of Steel Construction is needed to create a conforming shop and erection drawings.
- Construction codes and practices.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with FabSuite and Tekla preferred.
- Tekla Structures, Tekla EPM, and Trimble Connect software is a plus.

Pay Range
The Pay Range For This Role Is 85,000 - 110,000 USD per year (San Antonio)
