Project Manager
About the role
Pangaea Data (Pangaea) is a provider of a guideline-configured AI platform that proactively uncovers care gaps, which cannot be pre-empted or prompted for because they are unknown, thereby delivering reliable, actionable insights that enable earlier intervention, improve quality and patient safety, and make advanced clinical decision support accessible across both high and low resource settings. Pangaea’s founders Dr Vibhor Gupta and Prof Yike Guo (Director Data Science Institute at Imperial College London; Provost, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) have worked in medicine and computing for over 20 years and have raised over $300 million through their academic research, including a $110 million grant focused on development work on large language models in medicine. Their advisors include industry veterans from healthcare and the life sciences, including Lord David Prior (former chairman, NHS England) and Mr. Andy Palmer (former CIO, Novartis). As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from initial client engagement through to delivery, acting as the key link between our clients and our technical, clinical, and commercial teams. You will work closely with clients in the life sciences, biopharmaceutical, healthcare, and research sectors to understand their objectives, challenges, requirements, and priorities, and translate these into clear and actionable plans for our internal teams. A significant part of the role is face-to-face client engagement. You will build trusted relationships with clients, lead meetings and presentations, manage expectations, identify concerns early, and ensure that clients feel heard, informed, and well supported throughout the project. You will also need to understand our products and technology at a sufficiently high level to communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of AI, NLP, biomedical science, and healthcare will help you understand client needs and effectively bridge the gap between domain experts, clients, and technical teams. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are well planned, clearly communicated, delivered on time, and aligned with both client expectations and company objectives.
