Project Manager

About the role
Osmose is the market-leading provider of critical resiliency, assessment, and restoration services for electric transmission, distribution, and telecommunications companies. This role will plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities concerned with the utility services provided by Osmose. The Project Manager will participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation, ensuring project objectives are accomplished by planning and evaluating project activities.
Expectations include working directly with internal Osmose operations, delivery, engineering, business development, and management teams, as well as the customer, to align project objectives with the contracted scope of work. The role also involves representing Osmose in project meetings.
Responsibilities
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contracted work scope specifications.
- Track, manage, and resolve project issues as they arise throughout the project life cycle.
- Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
- Formulate reports by extracting required data from various sources concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling for internal and external distribution.
- Implement and adhere to the project management process and methodology.
- Work with contract administrators to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interest while maintaining a good relationship with the customer.
- Represent the company in customer-facing project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
- Track and reconcile revenue, cost of goods, accruals, and customer invoices using principles of cost accounting.
Requirements
- Must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, statistics) preferred, plus 3–7 years of proven project management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Utility or utility services industry management experience preferred.
- PMP/PMI certification preferred.
