About the Role
Boston Conveyor & Automation (BCA), part of the Mpac Group, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of automation and material handling solutions for customers across the food manufacturing, life sciences, and general manufacturing sectors. This is an opportunity to manage high-value projects ranging from $100K to over $10M, working with cutting-edge automation technologies and collaborating with cross-functional engineering, supply chain, finance, and leadership teams.
Responsibilities
- Leading multiple automation and material handling projects simultaneously
- Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle
- Developing and communicating project schedules, timelines, and milestones
- Managing project budgets, risks, and change orders
- Coordinating resources across engineering, supply chain, finance, and leadership teams
- Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Managing project closeout activities and punch lists
- Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Conducting project reviews and implementing best practices for future success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a customer-facing project management role
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
- Understanding of workplace and project safety standards
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
Qualifications
- Experience working within OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) environments
- Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing ERP systems
- Construction project management experience is highly valued
