Project Manager

About the role
As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful execution of customer programs from acquisition through launch. You will coordinate cross-functional activities, support project planning and tracking, and help ensure project objectives related to timing, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction are achieved. You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, purchasing, manufacturing, and customer teams while developing your project management expertise within a global automotive environment.
Responsibilities
- Functional leadership of the project team (motivate and convince team members in order to meet overall target of the project)
- Ensuring simultaneous engineering as well as effective opportunity and risk management
- Planning and assigning work packages to the team while monitoring and controlling the progress (project structure; project phases, schedule and milestones; project organization, etc)
- Management of all project stakeholders' interests (including reporting, escalation or compromise if necessary)
- Project reporting and presentation to management committees
- Coordination and management of project changes and deviations considering the effects on the project objectives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development projects, ideally for customers in the automotive industry
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a global environment
- Experience working in a global environment with remote teams using program management tools is a plus (MS Project, Quality tools, risk Planning & Assessment)
