Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop knowledge of all OSHA and Lumin8 Safety requirements in roadway construction operations
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements including immediate reporting of unsafe conditions and actions
- Daily use of and interpretation of civil construction drawings
- Review of construction plans and documents including spec docs, SOW, GDOT Road and Bridge Construction Specs
- Read contract documents and be familiar with all content related to our scope
- Develop As-Builts documentation as required
- Project review and quantity take off for cost projections
- Collect Daily job logs and input QTY’s on billing spread sheet for review by PM
- Subcontractor tracking and review of work complete, invoices and pay application payouts
- Attend weekly project and operations meetings
- Create RFI’s and update tracking log
- Progress tracking of work in the field – updates to scheduling for timing and accuracy
- Perform weekly review labor cost and time entry in PM absence
- Aid in procurement, review and tracking of material from vendors
- Communicate with and track work of subcontractors weekly
- Preparation of submittals, RFIs, change management and necessary daily and weekly reporting of same
- Input and manage data in Spectrum ERP daily
- Assist in development of quality procedures and tracking for various projects
Requirements
- Must be able to read blueprints and civil construction drawings
- Proficient working with various software programs such as Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel or the willingness and ability to become proficient using these tools
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to deal with conflict in a constructive manner
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think practically while remaining detail-oriented
Education And Experience
- Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience, including internship, in the construction process of commercial electrical operations or roadway construction
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting from 5 to 50 lbs
- Occasional lifting from 51 lbs
- Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
