Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

LSI SOLUTIONS® is a dynamic and growing medical device company seeking passionate Project Managers to join our energetic team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of minimally invasive surgical instruments through project management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure the proper execution of projects through control of deliverables and timelines.
• Manage projects and initiatives in support of new product & systems development, design enhancements, and manufacturing improvements.
• Utilize best-practice project management tools and techniques to ensure projects meet technical scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Guide project teams with sound decision-making.
• Drive project performance using Project Management tools.
• Prepare presentations and conduct project review meetings, including Phase Gate reviews.
• Communicate project status, technical hurdles, and solution paths to stakeholders.
• Record project outputs in accordance with ISO 13485, MDSAP, EU MDR, 21 CFR 820, LSI Procedures, and other applicable standards.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and other technical aspects of product development.
• Exercise sound engineering judgement to guide technical initiatives.
• Support employee development and performance reviews by providing input to administrative supervisors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Project Manager I: Bachelor’s degree required; bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred. 0-3 years of experience in a product development environment is required; experience managing technical projects is preferred. PMI CAPM certification.
• Project Manager II: Bachelor’s degree required; bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred. 3+ years of product development experience required; medical device experience preferred. 2+ years of project management leadership experience. PMI CAPM certification or equivalent.
• Project Manager III: Bachelor’s degree required; bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred. 6+ years of product development experience required; medical device experience preferred. 5+ years of project management leadership experience. PMI PMP certification or equivalent.
• Senior Project Manager: Bachelor’s degree required; bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred. 10+ years of product development experience required; medical device experience preferred. 9+ years of project management leadership experience. PMI PMP certification or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Project Manager I: Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) or ability to obtain training or certification in PMBOK. Proficiency in standard MS-Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and MS-Project. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking process.
• Project Manager II: All the Knowledge, skills and abilities listed above. Ability to work independently with moderate supervision. Strong multi-tasking abilities with experience effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Project Manager III: All the knowledge, skills & abilities listed above. Knowledge of industry accepted Project Management methodologies. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Advanced proficiency in MS Project.
• Senior Project Manager: All the knowledge, skills & abilities listed above. Ability to work independently. Leadership and influence skills. Coaching and mentoring skills within the program management department and external departments. Ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams. Communication and relationship building skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Frequently required to lift, carry, push and/or pull from 10-20 lbs.
