Where You'll Work

This is a hybrid role based in Holmdel NJ, Chicago IL, Raleigh NC, or London with the expectation to be in the office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

About the Role

Every product Litera ships only creates value when it is successfully adopted by the client—and that is exactly where this role sits. As Project Manager in Professional Services, you are the single point of accountability that turns a signed deal into a live, high-performing implementation. You protect revenue and margin by keeping projects on scope, on budget, and on schedule across a portfolio of concurrent engagements. Most importantly, you ensure every client's first experience of Litera sets the standard for a long-term partnership, directly fueling retention, expansion, and our reputation in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Own every phase of successful end-to-end implementations from kick-off through go-live and support handover, ensuring each engagement lands on time with full client sign-off and adoption readiness.
  • Run multiple concurrent projects across the Litera product suite, balancing competing priorities and shared resources so no engagement loses momentum or quality.
  • Maintain rigorous control of project plans, forecasts, and financials—tracking effort, burn, and margin, managing change formally, and escalating trade-offs early with clear options.
  • Anticipate issues before they reach the client by maintaining live RAID logs, surfacing concerns with recommended actions, and driving them to closure proactively.
  • Coordinate across Professional Services, Product, Engineering, Support, Customer Success, Sales, and client teams to provide every stakeholder a single, accurate view of progress.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet Litera's standards and documented client requirements, coordinating testing, training, and acceptance so the client is genuinely ready to adopt at go-live.
  • Support statements of work, resource plans, and partner coordination; identify scope creep and additional service opportunities and work with the commercial team to convert them.
  • Capture lessons learned and client feedback, feeding practical improvements into delivery methodology, estimation models, and tooling—and mentor fellow project managers through example.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of project management experience delivering software or technology implementations, including multi-workstream engagements for external clients.
  • Proven ability to own and run multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines and shared resources as the single accountable project owner.
  • Confidence managing scope, budget, forecasting, resource planning, and change control—including reporting on effort, burn, and margin.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication with the credibility to lead governance and steering conversations with partner- and executive-level stakeholders.
  • A genuinely proactive approach to risk: identifying issues early, framing options, and driving resolution rather than escalating problems without solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with project and PSA tooling (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Monday.com) and comfortable use of reporting and time-tracking systems.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Vendor-side professional services or SaaS delivery experience; legal technology, law firm, or corporate legal department exposure is a strong advantage.
  • Working knowledge of agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches, with the judgment to apply the right one to each engagement.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience coordinating diverse, globally distributed teams and third-party partners across multiple time zones.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Incentive and recognition programs.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $92,500 USD. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications. This role is also eligible to participate in a company bonus plan.
