Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Develop and manage project schedules, identifying risks and implementing solutions to maintain timelines.
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, subcontractor billings, change orders, and owner invoicing.
- Lead procurement efforts, including subcontractor prequalification, bidding, contract awards, and coordination of long-lead materials.
- Direct and coordinate project teams, including superintendents and field staff, to achieve project milestones.
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, drawings, contracts, and design changes.
- Enforce compliance with company policies and all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to minimize impacts to safety, schedule, cost, and quality.
- Review subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
- Cook inspections, testing, and commissioning to verify work meets specifications.
- Lead project closeout activities, including punch list completion and final turnover to the owner.
- Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Provide leadership and accountability to project team members to drive performance.
- Support preconstruction planning efforts, including scope review and constructability input.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Six (6) to eight (8+) years of commercial construction experience, including leadership of large or complex projects valued at $5M or more.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
- Experience with CPM scheduling software such as P6, P3, or Microsoft Project (preferred)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (preferred)
- LEED BD+C credential (preferred)
- DBIA (Designated Design-Build Professional) certification (preferred)
- Experience with Procore software
Knowledge and Skills
- Proven experience in commercial construction project management or coordination
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
