Project Manager

About the role

Leidos is seeking a driven, results-oriented, and motivated self-starter with a project and program management background to join the NISC team as a Project Manager supporting the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) surveillance and radar modernization effort. The successful candidate will plan, organize, secure, and manage resources to achieve specific program goals and objectives. This role interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel to coordinate activities bringing new equipment online at FAA facilities. The candidate will work independently on larger, moderately complex projects and may assist other professionals with tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all project schedules are met and within budget constraints.
• Provide timely and accurate responses to all technical and program inquiries.
• Assist in budget formulation activities utilizing FAA government databases as required.
• Author required documents in support of program schedules.
• Work independently to achieve day-to-day program objectives that may significantly impact operational results or program goals.
• Update project schedules and provide input to FAA construction managers.
• Organize impromptu telecons and meetings to ensure projects maintain schedule and cost.
• Utilize special client databases to provide programmatic input to other team members.
• Perform investigations and root cause analysis.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BA or BS degree and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to present ideas to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Excel (Macros).
• Prior experience supporting the FAA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of FAA radar technology.
• Technical background (highly preferred).
• Lean/Six Sigma analysis skills.
• Data analytics experience.
• Data architecture experience.

Pay

Pay Range: $73,450.00 - $132,775.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
