About the role
KELLY ENGINEERED EQUIPMENT (KEE) designs and builds highly customized equipment for the tunneling and underground construction industry. We solve complex, real-world problems by delivering custom-engineered systems that perform in demanding environments. Our work is fast-paced, hands-on, and requires a high level of ownership and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project lifecycle: from initial client contact through delivery and close-out
- Own project financials: estimate, track costs, and manage invoicing and payments
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules: ensure milestones and deliverables are met
- Cookordination cross-functional internal teams (engineering, procurement, and production)
- Oversee procurement: vendor selection, negotiation, and contracts
- Monitor progress and proactively resolve risks or delays
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing expectations and resolving issues
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Travel to job sites as needed (~10-20%)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field)
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, forecasting)
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage demanding clients and resolve conflicts
Preferred Experience
- Custom equipment or engineered-to-order manufacturing
- Tunneling, underground construction, or heavy civil projects
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools (Wrike, MS Project, or similar)
- ERP or project cost tracking systems
