Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management of the project with knowledge and experience in all segments (overhead, substation, and underground), including schedule and budget management.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, and close projects — define the project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), cost baseline, and observation baseline structure.
  • Build comprehensive work plans, control and manage risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage teams — facilitate commitment and productivity, remove obstacles, and manage teams.
  • Oversee the Engineering team and provide support to field and design.
  • Implement and manage quality and environmental processes and procedures on all projects.
  • Manage third-party projects.
  • Accountable and responsible for: cost/budgeting and management, communication management, change management, schedule management, construction management oversight, commissioning management oversight, risk management, regulatory and stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management discipline preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • 10-15 years' experience including 3 or more years managing major engineering/procurement/construction activities.
  • Strong safety-first focus.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Able to work effectively with competing priorities and stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

  • Must be able to travel to office for meetings.
