About the role

Our Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. The Project Manager will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Adept at estimating and quoting more than 150 projects annually while properly planning and executing over 30 projects in a given year
  • Properly financially manage projects valued up to $30 million
  • Execute subcontracts and purchase orders up to $5 million each
  • Maintain project schedules with on-time delivery for up to 5 customers
  • Guide multiple project teams, including site engineers, superintendents, and foremen, to sustain maximum profits
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Accountable for project schedule coordination, including owner and architect issues (change orders, progress meetings, etc.)
  • Provide excellent customer service to build long-term relationships
  • Manage and oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and procurement management
  • Oversee the project team’s work to ensure deadlines and milestones are met
  • Review project deliverables to ensure they meet requirements and specifications
  • Provide technical expertise to solve complex problems
  • Communicate with stakeholders about project status, risks, and challenges

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree related to construction or completion of an apprenticeship with a combination of at least two to four years of field and managerial experience, or six to eight or more years of experience in a construction-related position where knowledge was gained in construction, design, finance, and management
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (facilitation, diplomacy, influence, etc.)
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are preferred but not required
