Job Summary
Journey Group is a full-service construction group based in Sioux Falls, S.D., with divisions serving various market segments. They are seeking a Commercial Project Manager to join their team. The role can be tailored to experience level, supporting both commercial and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage budgets, schedules, and overall project performance
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration
- Identify and manage project risks, changes, and cost impacts
- Maintain quality, safety, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
- Mentor and support team members (for senior-level candidates)
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction project management experience (PM level)
- 10+ years for Senior Project Manager consideration
- Experience managing commercial and/or industrial projects
- Background in projects ranging from $10M to $100M+
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Financial acumen with budgets, forecasting, and cost control
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Experience with project management software/tools
