Project Manager
About the role
This position offers the opportunity to lead and support impactful projects serving public health and government-focused initiatives. You will oversee project planning, execution, reporting, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring successful delivery against organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Support program leadership in planning, coordinating, and delivering projects for government and public health-focused initiatives.
- Manage project schedules, milestones, resources, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure successful execution and delivery.
- Prepare and deliver recurring project reports, dashboards, and status updates covering financial performance, staffing metrics, accomplishments, risks, and key activities.
- Coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders, document discussions, track action items, and serve as a primary point of contact for project communications.
- Identify, monitor, and manage project risks, financial variances, and operational challenges while implementing mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reporting materials in alignment with contractual requirements and quality standards.
- Analyze and synthesize complex datasets to identify key insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships by promoting collaboration, transparency, and customer satisfaction.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance project processes, workflows, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably supporting federal government contracts or public sector programs.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing reports, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate information into actionable recommendations.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and team-building capabilities with experience working across diverse teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management, customer service, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearance, if applicable.
- U.S. citizenship may be required depending on contract requirements.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is preferred.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project management methodologies is a plus.
- Experience supporting government agencies, including public health organizations, is preferred.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline is a plus.
