Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Create project timelines and act as the gatekeeper for new product development projects.
- Liaise with Sales, Account Management, R&D, and various Operational functions to enable new/existing customer business opportunities.
- Facilitate customer quotes, oversee necessary information flow, and participate in proposal development.
- Interact with Purchasing to understand raw material pricing and formulate products with high-value materials.
- Understand and apply costing models to various products and assist with problem-solving formulations.
- Assist with specification generation for raw materials, packaging components, bulk products, and finished products.
- Work with Document Control to initiate new SKU packaging specifications.
- Assist with deviation investigations and document generation as needed.
- Attend internal and external training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Sr. VP of Sales.
Requirements
- BS/BA in business management or the sciences
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the Natural Products Industry
- Project Management experience beneficial
- Adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel, Word, and Project
- Strong computer skills in MRP system, internet, and email
- Ability to perform all tasks defined above
- Accountable for the quality of work
Qualifications
- Accurate and timely recording of information on specified documents
- Familiarity with cGMP’s
- Ability to develop and maintain a teamwork environment
- Ability to move about to accomplish tasks
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to write and prepare business letters, memorandums, and reports
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and crouch
Work Conditions
- Subject to moderate noise level
- Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection may be required
- Subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes from the machines, odors, powders, dust, and other particles
