Responsibilities
- Take ownership of projects from post-bid through closeout, ensuring alignment between scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
- Drive accountability across internal teams and trade partners to deliver successful outcomes.
- Partner with Estimating to support bid packaging, validate project scope, and lead a thorough and strategic buyout process.
- Ensure subcontractor scopes are complete, competitive, and aligned to prevent gaps or overlaps.
- Translate estimates into project budgets, manage cost controls, and oversee change management.
- Review subcontractor invoices, prepare owner pay applications, and ensure financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and actively manage the project schedule, proactively identify risks, and maintain momentum to keep projects on track or ahead of schedule.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, design teams, and subcontractors, building trust through clear and professional communication.
- Work closely with field leadership and the Safety team to uphold IMC’s “Safety First” culture, supporting the development and execution of project-specific safety plans.
- Guide and support Project Engineers and APMs while fostering strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to elevate team performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5–10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
- Experience leading buyout, subcontract negotiations, and contract administration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency.
