Project Manager

About the Role
IEX is looking for a driven and experienced Project Manager to guide the development and deployment of mission-critical projects. You will create and execute processes to streamline workflows and minimize friction for the development team. You will track and stabilize critical projects, resolve roadblocks, and anticipate the team’s needs to enable IEX’s engineers to focus on the technical problems they are best equipped to solve.
You will collaborate extensively with Engineering, Compliance, Operations, Marketing, Information Security, and Executives to ensure that IEX’s highest-priority projects produce industry-transforming results. Your work will be varied based on IEX’s changing needs; at times, you will be enlisted to manage a complex project pipeline, coordinate engineering work and schedules, and contribute to internal and external inquiries as needed. This position requires a versatile combination of project management, process optimizations, and creating or maintaining documentation. In any capacity, you are above all else a leader who does whatever it takes to fix tough problems with order and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Communicate to the various levels of the organization around project status, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies. Ability to synthesize based on the audience is a must.
- Curate and maintain IEX’s roadmap and development life cycle, being the steward of the development life cycle framework and creating the structure to iteratively produce better outcomes.
- Capture and prioritize backlog of business goals and associated projects.
- Create and track schedules for a multitude of deliverables, funneling all data into the strategic roadmap.
- Run daily stand-ups to capture project statuses, remove impediments, and open bridges of communication.
- Promote adherence to strict compliance policies and software development procedures.
- Assist with planning, budgeting, and tracking expenditures to ensure projects remain within the approved financial limits.
- Work with other project managers to ensure smooth transitions between delivery teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in a project management role; broker-dealer, financial vendor, or experience working at an exchange is a plus.
- Agile project management experience.
- Experience with Atlassian toolset (such as JIRA, Confluence, and Atlassian Roadmaps) preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task various projects within targeted timelines.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements relating to data, information retention, and technology infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with Regulation NMS is a plus.

Pay
The starting annual base pay is between $170,000 and $190,000 for this NY-based position. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The annual base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
