Project Manager
What to Expect
The Project Manager will support execution and coordination of i2Systems architectural lighting projects within the New York City market and surrounding regions. This role focuses on managing projects from order through completion while coordinating closely with sales representatives, distributors, contractors, and Connecticut-based manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple active projects simultaneously within a fast-paced architectural and construction environment.
What You’ll Do
- Management and coordination of architectural lighting projects from order release through project completion
- Order processing and internal project setup coordination
- Creation and management of project drawings and submittal documentation
- Validation of fixture counts, layouts, and project scope details
- Participation in preconstruction meetings with distributors, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Cordination with Connecticut-based manufacturing facilities to support scheduling, production, and delivery execution
- Tracking project timelines, open items, and customer deliverables
- Support communication between customers, sales representatives, scheduling teams, and manufacturing
- Assistance with resolving field issues, project changes, and execution challenges as projects progress

Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural lighting project management
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Knowledge of building codes and standards relevant to architectural lighting
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Skills
Desired skills include:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Experience with Revit or similar BIM software
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
