About the role
The selected contractor must be familiar with Project Management Institute (PMI) phases and their inputs/outputs, turning project ideas into working products. The PM will lead projects successfully, relying on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
Responsibilities
- Leverage strong interpersonal skills to consult with program area and IT teams, define requirements, and analyze/resolve problems.
- Administer, manage, and facilitate high-priority, high-profile, and enterprise-wide IT projects of strategic importance.
- Manage, coordinate, and establish priorities for the entire lifecycle of projects, including planning, design, programming, testing, and implementation.
- Develop detailed Project Management Plans, ensuring they are approved by clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and phases, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Track project budgets and report on project metrics to stakeholders.
- Plan, organize, and manage multiple work efforts across the project team, scheduling status reviews and inspections.
- Create and review Communication Plans and Deliverables Matrices to ensure effective stakeholder communication.
- Prepare periodic status reports for the project team, team leads, sponsors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience managing technical initiatives with a large project team, covering various IT areas, technical complexity, and vendor involvement.
- A high degree of skills in budgeting, communication, leadership, negotiation, organizational abilities, problem-solving, team-building, human resource management, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to ramp up quickly and perform independently.
- A PMI PMP certification for at least 5 years.
- A four-year college degree or equivalent technical study is preferred.

This position requires a high degree of business and technical knowledge, as well as the ability to work independently and quickly adapt to new environments.
