About the role
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in advancing innovative greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, influencing future clean energy strategies, and helping shape long-term regulatory and sustainability programs. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management capabilities with expertise in greenhouse gas accounting, carbon intensity analysis, and lifecycle emissions modeling.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track approximately 15 approved NGIA pilot projects.
- Coordinate across multiple business units, SMEs, regulatory teams, and stakeholders.
- Establish and clarify internal roles, responsibilities, and governance processes.
- Gather project status updates, identify risks and roadblocks, and drive issue resolution.
- Maintain project schedules, reporting tools, dashboards, and progress tracking documentation.
- Support annual regulatory reporting and program updates.
- Assist in development of future NGIA plans and evaluation of new pilot opportunities.
- Perform lifecycle greenhouse gas and carbon intensity calculations.
- Utilize the GREET model to build pathways and analyze various project types.
- Support clean fuels and decarbonization strategy initiatives.
- Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and external project developers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Project Management experience.
- Experience performing greenhouse gas emissions calculations and reduction analyses.
- Strong knowledge of lifecycle carbon intensity calculations.
- Hands-on experience using the GREET model.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate projects across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with carbon offset programs.
- Knowledge of renewable fuels, clean fuels, or decarbonization initiatives.
- Certifications related to greenhouse gas accounting, carbon management, sustainability, or GREET modeling.
- Utility, energy, or environmental industry experience.
- Experience with organizations such as CenterPoint Energy or similar utility providers.
