Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall project management phases of assigned projects.
- Develops the project schedule and reviews all documents to ensure they match the contract, including submittal drawings, vendor contracts, purchase orders, change orders, installation schedules, insurance needs, etc.
- Collaborates and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders such as sales, engineering, and estimating, a field/installation department, while maintaining open communication with all parties involved in the project.
- Provides timely, professional written responses to customers' inquiries concerning the product, schedules, installation, conflicts, problems, and vendors.
- Absorbs responsibility and administers cost management and budgets for each project, reviews cost reports against budget, and suggests appropriate solutions to resolve variances.
- Develops and coordinates schedules to ensure projects are completed on time, including product delivery, installation (either in-house or with subcontracted installers), production, keeping in mind lead times, site meetings, punch list, phasing, etc.
- Prepares, submits, obtains approval, verifies, and tracks billings until payment is received. Effectively makes progress payment requests to eliminate underbilling to the extent possible, monthly.
- Ability to learn the specifications and technical details of the products that H2I Group distributes as well as those of our competition.
- Ensures vendors on any given project are fulfilling their obligations to H2I Group, Inc, and our customers, while maintaining a professional working relationship with them.
- Orders vendor products per current company processes.
- Attends site meetings when required (dependent on project) and maintains customer relations with the site coordinator and other trades.
- Travel to job sites to inspect work and participate in various meetings such as Trade Coordination meetings, Company presentations, and Installation Coordination meetings as required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Management, or a relevant area of study is required, or an equivalent combination of education and related construction Project Management experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant Lab Project Management experience in commercial construction is required.
- Construction-related certifications and training are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in using Bluebeam, as well as Vista/Viewpoint, is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to manage multiple projects and project financials.
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing project forecasts against physical completion to identify potential issues.
- Skilled in coordinating and facilitating meetings.
- Able to identify and resolve quality and construction issues while resolving disputes quickly and efficiently.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship.
