Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Review the contract schedule to ensure it reflects the requirements of the contract and properly identifies the contract scope of works.
• Ensure that the preliminary items necessary for setting up site and executing the contract are identified and supplied to site.
• Be responsible for site safety on the project. It is the EHS dept. responsibility to audit existing safety procedures that are in place and advise on all safety aspects of the project.
• Hold project meetings weekly with topics covering safety, finance, schedule, design, site teams to ensure all areas are coordinated and all team briefed on project progress.
• Act as the first point of contact and escalation for client issues and internal teams.
• Manage project resources and monitor their performance throughout the entire project.
• Review project safety with H&MV safety representative.
• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) reviews for the entire project, including civil and electrical aspects, and carry out Design Reviews.
• Carry out quality audits on subcontractors.
• Ensure that adequate competent resources are available throughout the project.
• Take overall ownership of the schedule and ensure milestones are achieved for the entire project.
• Site set up, appearance, and setting out each job to H&MV standards.

Key Requirements

• Electrical Engineering apprenticeship, ONC diploma or degree, extensive relevant experience.
• Experience of 5 years+ in construction/engineering, with years as a Project Engineer working on HV assets.
• High voltage asset management experience, ideally within distribution and/or generation, transmission, or utilities.
• Experience in acting as a single point of contact.

• Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Office. SharePoint experience is advantageous.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Operations team in Texas. They will support the Senior Project Manager in managing ongoing and future Apatura projects in the region, and from time to time assist the Project Director with pre-construction activities in support of tender submissions.
