About the role

The Project Manager (PM) for the Philanthropy Professional Services team is responsible for leading customer onboarding, implementation, and expansion projects for foundations, nonprofits, grant making organizations, and social impact networks using our SaaS platform. This role ensures customers can effectively leverage our technology to streamline grant making processes, enhance donor engagement, track program outcomes, and maximize mission impact. The PM collaborates closely with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Sales to deliver high-quality, mission-aligned outcomes that support our customers in driving social good.

What you'll do

  • Project Planning & Execution
    • Lead end-to-end implementation projects, from kickoff through go-live and transition to Customer Support.
    • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations based on customer requirements.
    • Cook up internal technical resources, consultants, and customer stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
    • Maintain clear and consistent status reporting for customers and internal teams.
  • Customer Engagement & Communication
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during implementation.
    • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement-gathering discussions.
    • Communicate technical concepts in a clear, business-oriented way.
    • Manage customer expectations, scope, and priorities to ensure alignment throughout the project.
    • Create Executive level steerco materials.
  • Solution Delivery & Quality
    • Validate that configured solutions meet customer business needs and follow best practices.
    • Collaborate with solution architects, technical consultants, and engineering teams to resolve blockers.
    • Oversee data migration, integrations, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
    • Ensure projects follow established implementation methodologies and quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Provide customer feedback and insights to Sales, Product and support for ongoing improvement.
    • Partner with Sales and Digital Transformation during pre-sales cycles for scoping, estimating, and proposal development.
    • Transition customers seamlessly to Customer Success/Support post go-live with documented handoff notes.

What you'll need

  • 3–7+ years of project management experience, ideally within SaaS, software implementation, or IT services.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS delivery models, data migration, integrations, and cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
  • PMP, CSM, PRINCE2, or other PM certifications preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a Professional Services or Customer Success organization.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and data mapping concepts.
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS software (e.g., CRM, ERP, HRIS, security, analytics).
