This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects in a dynamic environment.

About the role

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems — from pre-construction through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of project execution from initial planning through closeout
  • Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Manage schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation
  • Manage Equipment Procurement, ensuring equipment lead times do not impact project schedule
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and enforce safety and quality standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, vendors, and field personnel
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and field teams to ensure accurate scope and execution
  • Track project costs and forecast financial performance
  • Maintain project documentation in accordance with company procedures and client requirements
  • Lead project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays proactively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of project management experience in mechanical contracting (HVAC, plumbing, piping, etc.)
  • Proven success managing commercial, industrial, or institutional mechanical projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drawings, specifications, and codes
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Excel and Project, or equivalent)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • OSHA 30 certification (preferred)
  • PMP certification (a plus but not required)
