Responsibilities

• Directly responsible to the client and firm for the successful execution and leadership of projects, including meeting project goals, client service, quality of work, staff utilization, marketing reputation, and profitability.
• Lead, motivate, and foster a team environment by inspiring a shared vision, enabling others to act, taking risks, and assuming ultimate responsibility for the team’s actions.
• Articulate and communicate the client’s vision, goals, and objectives through development of the project work plan during the planning phase.
• Develop project fees, contracts, schedules, budgets, and profitability during the planning and start-up phases.
• Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, meeting design intent, client vision/goals, and required quality standards.
• Develop strategies for client outreach and cultivate business development opportunities by presenting Flad’s services to potential clients and participating in client interviews.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key, repeat clients to promote future opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of architectural experience and at least five years of recent project management experience with science and technology, higher education, and/or healthcare project types.
• Excellent client management and leadership skills.
• Superior technical and presentation skills with a commitment to design excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field required.
• Professional registration preferred.
• Sustainability accreditation preferred.
