About the role
Responsible for managing day-to-day project operations to ensure contract standards are met in a cost-effective, safe, and efficient manner. Responsible for increasing revenues via organic growth and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Provide structure, support, administrative systems, and methodologies to meet project contract obligations related to infrastructure quality, safety, contractor agreements, procurement, cost control, scheduling, and estimating management processes and procedures.
- Proactively respond to issues impacting contract requirements and facilitate timely solutions; share methodologies that drive systemic improvements.
- Organize, direct, manage, and coordinate project team members to build teamwork and ensure high performance within asset operations and maintenance.
- Drive company values and ensure they are incorporated into team development, management, and performance.
- Develop employees professionally, focusing on safety, quality, customer service, and general business proficiency.
- Comply with company Risk Management, Quality Assurance, and Safety programs, policies, systems, and procedures, including federal, state, and local legislation.
- Establish and maintain effective relations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee planning, estimating, procurement, and financial responsibilities to optimize cost/benefit.
- Interface with regulatory teams to support Fire/Life/Safety approval processes.
- Monitor financial performance, conduct financial analysis, and prepare performance information and recommendations for management reports.
- Monitor contract and project compliance with company policies and procedures related to legal, financial, safety, and administrative matters.
- Provide input into the development, review, negotiation, and implementation of subcontractor and supplier agreements to maximize contract returns.
- Establish and report appropriate metrics for measuring contract performance.
- Ensure the overall safety of all project personnel; promote a positive safety culture through personal example and full compliance with safety policies.
- Develop and maintain a partnership-based relationship with the customer, demonstrating a sound understanding of their needs.
- Foster a customer service culture throughout the project and effectively resolve client concerns.
- Avoid legal challenges by complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements.

- Carry out all duties in line with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor rehabilitation activities to ensure project goals or objectives are accomplished, including O&M Manual development, design review, planning, and facility/system acceptance following renewal/rehabilitation.
- Complete work in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner; prioritize safety at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Transportation/Road asset management experience, particularly in Operations & Maintenance (highly desired).
- Professional Engineering License (highly desired).
- 5-10 years of industry experience; previous facility management or supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of asset management within facility maintenance, repairs, and operations.
- Experience with project management concepts, processes, principles, and their application.

- Proficiency in standard engineering and MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access, Project) and CMMS applications such as DataStream (MP2) or INFOR (EAM).
- Highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability to recognize hazards in routine and non-routine tasks.
- Ability to communicate safety instructions to co-workers and focus on safety in all surroundings.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lead by example in safety compliance.
- Willingness and ability to meet specific project contractual obligations and pass Advanced DOT (or MTO, if applicable) training.
Work Conditions / Physical Demands
- Office and field environment in heat and cold.

- 24/7 operations; occasional holidays, nights, and weekends required.
- Work over and around water, from heights, and in tight spaces.
