About the Role
Plans, directs, and is accountable for all activities in the design, development, and implementation of displays, exhibits, and/or interior environments for assigned client projects. Oversees projects to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed scope, time, and funding parameters.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for the client on assigned project(s) and meets with the client as needed based on project complexity.
- Manages all aspects of the project through ECI’s ERP system and project management programs.
- Develops and defines the project scope of work and provides oversight to ensure all elements meet specification requirements.
- Develops and/or reviews cost estimates and proposals based on design, scope of work, client target budget, and ECI margin expectations.
- Reviews cost estimates against final project scope to confirm labor hours, subcontractor roles and costs, material costs and availability, site-specific requirements, and resource allocation.
- Establishes production time schedules, lead times, material/subcontractor scheduling, and staffing for each project phase.
- Participates with the creative team on concept development, budget development, material selection, and project timeline development.
- Works with the Graphics Supervisor for content development and assigns graphic production along with time schedules.
- Coordinates with the Production Supervisor to confirm production scope, install labor, installation schedules, and resolves fabrication issues.
- Coordinates fabrication details with the Detailing Supervisor and/or assigned detailer.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel and subcontractors to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
- Monitors project accounting tasks and assigns tasks per departmental standard operating procedures.
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Prepares regular project reports for management, account executives, and clients as needed.
- Provides technical advice and resolves issues with project personnel.
- Ensures proper ECI processes are followed on each project.
- Follows up with prospective clients by forwarding contact information to appropriate ECI personnel.
- Travels to project sites, meetings, or industry events as required.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Building Construction, or equivalent from a technical school.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in managing trade show, museum, permanent interior, or retail build-out design and fabrication projects.
- Experience with development of Executive Briefing Centers (EBC’s), high-end retail, and/or branded environments is a plus.
Skills
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, and apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sit for long periods and work at a computer. During project installation, the employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
