What You'll Do
- Manage project budgets, including labor, equipment, subcontractors, materials, and overall cost performance.
- Lead project planning, execution, and financial management to ensure successful outcomes.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and review project estimates.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Issue, administer, and manage subcontracts.
- Prepare and oversee monthly progress billings.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage project changes and change orders.
- Collaborate closely with field leadership to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
- Partner with Accounting on accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Participate in both office and field activities to maintain project visibility and support operations.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive project management experience in heavy civil construction.
- Strong understanding of heavy civil construction means, methods, and field operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, schedules, and project teams.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing project profitability.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Able to access all areas of active construction sites in varying climates and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with: HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK Earthwork Software, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay
$95,000 – $135,000 annual salary, based on experience.
Schedule
Full-time.
