IT PROJECT MANAGER Location: Remote Pay: $70–$73/hour Position Type: Long Term Contract, W2 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and oversee software delivery and technology projects from planning through implementation. This role will manage project scope, schedules, resources, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder communication while coordinating across technical teams and business partners. The ideal candidate brings strong IT project leadership experience, hands-on knowledge of Agile/Scrum or hybrid delivery methods, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive-level stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of one or more IT projects from initiation through deliveryDefine project scope, requirements, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholdersDevelop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans and schedulesCoordinate project activities, resources, milestones, and release plansManage software delivery utilizing Agile/Scrum or hybrid methodologiesTrack sprints, project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisionsIdentify project risks and implement mitigation or corrective action plansLead project meetings, presentations, briefings, milestone reviews, and status updatesParticipate in change control processes, including evaluation of change requestsSupport requirements analysis, quality assurance, and project documentationConduct or support feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and related project researchEnsure projects comply with applicable policies, standards, procedures, and security requirementsCoordinate systems integration and technology implementation activitiesEnsure appropriate training materials and project documentation are developed and available to end usersPrepare clear executive-level status updates and decision memos Qualifications 5+ years of project/program management experienceMinimum 3 years of project management experience in a lead capacityAt least 2 years of experience supporting IT delivery programsExperience managing software delivery projectsStrong experience with Agile/Scrum or hybrid project methodologiesExperience with sprint tracking, status reporting, risk management, and decision logsExperience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Projects for work-item tracking and delivery reportingWorking knowledge of REST API conceptsWorking knowledge of FHIR R4 or similar interoperability concepts and terminologyStrong understanding of project planning, requirements analysis, risk management, quality assurance, change management, and systems integrationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadershipStrong leadership, organization, decision-making, problem-solving, and team-building skills EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION Bachelor’s degree required; additional qualifying experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basisActive Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI is requiredPMP certification cannot be substituted with additional experience Additional Information The selected candidate will be required to complete a Live Scan/background fingerprinting process, with appointment coordination provided after selection.
