About the role

The Project Manager will help manage municipality facility projects, overseeing the day-to-day execution, timeline, and delivery of facility alterations and sustainability infrastructure projects, including Solar and EV charging projects. The Project Manager will champion the Facility and Owner’s interests while coordinating with the project team and facility staff. The Project Manager will help identify project risks, troubleshoot, and resolve problems to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage all aspects of a project, including development and control of project scope
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules
  • Review and coordinate the preparation of construction documents
  • Facilitate project team and client meetings
  • Negotiate and prepare change orders
  • Monitor and coordinate construction activities with various project stakeholders
  • Adapt and respond effectively to project issues and challenges
  • Set and manage project expectations
  • Ensure compliance with CEQA/NEPA

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive project management experience in managing municipal infrastructure projects through planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, environmental permitting, construction, and close-out
  • Five (5) years of concurrent field construction experience
  • Licensed professional or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • Work experience in project planning and development
  • Ability to develop and control project scope, budgets, and schedules
  • Skilled in reviewing and coordinating construction documents
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of CEQA/NEPA

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery (highly preferred)
  • Design-Bid-Build project delivery (highly preferred)
  • Deferred Maintenance/Refurbishment projects (highly preferred)
  • Knowledge of Public Contracting Code and practices (highly preferred)
  • Design experience (highly preferred)

Pay

This role is salaried/exempt with a base annual salary range of $147,700.00 - $157,700.00, commensurate with skill, education, experience, and work location. This role is bonus eligible after 6 months of employment.
