About the role
Edmunds is seeking an adaptable Project Manager to support delivery for our software development teams. This is a full-time position in a remote-first, hybrid work environment, based in Santa Monica, CA. You will join a close-knit Program Management team and report to our Director of Program Management to support our Product & Technology departments.
Responsibilities
- Act independently as a project manager for 2-3 cross-functional software development teams
- Support portfolio-level initiatives which may span multiple project teams, with oversight from senior program managers
- Partner with technical and product leads to construct project timelines, conduct planning, and support execution using Agile principles for your projects
- Facilitate key meetings for project teams (e.g. scrums, planning and retrospectives)
- Ensure that blockers are resolved, and communication gaps are plugged quickly and efficiently for assigned initiatives
- Build deep, trusting relationships with all project team members to drive individual team efficiencies
- Collaborate with your team leads on your project teams to refine or establish processes (goals, responsibilities, communication channels, workflow) that set them up for success
- Act as a champion for your teams to improve process, morale, and productivity
- Guide teams through changes in priorities and milestones at the direction of executive & team leadership for your projects
- Collaborate with the Program Management team at large to support overall resource planning, accounting/capitalization activities, and organize department events
- Demonstrate flexibility in assumed roles to support critical initiatives (assignments to your project teams may evolve over time depending on organizational priorities)
Requirements
- 3+ years project management experience successfully delivering software/web development projects at various stages of the development lifecycle
- Hands-on experience working on teams using Agile scrum and Kanban software development methodologies with cross-functional teams of 5-10 people
- Ability to quickly form strong relationships that enable you to lead through influence rather than formal authority in a matrix organization
- Excellent meeting facilitation skills, with follow-through on decisions/action items
- High comfort level learning concepts quickly, to effectively serve as a translator across technical and business roles
- Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as Google Apps, Atlassian JIRA, and Slack
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets for basic analysis
- Ability to balance your workload across multiple, competing priorities and threads
- Ability to break down projects into smaller, achievable tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while using your resourcefulness to ask for help from the right people when you need it
- Ability to act as an accurate translator across business and technical functions
- Ability to navigate and adapt quickly to ambiguity and change

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $98,000 - $125,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
