Position Summary
This role is responsible for managing an execution of cruise dry dock projects in accordance with project-specific requirements and timelines.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop project plans, define scope, establish timelines, and oversee project execution.
- Continuously monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Communicate project updates and status reports to various stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and project team members.
- Effectively manage project risks and issues, and formulate contingency plans as needed.
- Efficiently allocate and manage project resources.
- Maintain oversight of project quality assurance and ensure that deliverables align with client expectations.
- Foster collaboration with other departments or branches to ensure seamless and efficient project completion.
- Supervise customers' orders, ensuring the timely collection, consolidation, and shipping of materials to the project site.
- Provide indirect management of operational functions and coordinate shipments with the operations staff.
- Travel to project sites globally to offer on-site support and coordinate the movement of incoming and outgoing cargo.
- Take responsibility for the timely delivery of all materials required for client projects.
- Uphold strong relationships with the client's group and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present rate quotations.
- Procure and negotiate rates with vendors.
- Attend project progress meetings with clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, the client's contractors, and vendors.
- Be readily available to serve as an escalation point for internal DSV operations teams worldwide.
- Remain accessible to address critical issues that may impact the project's timely completion, both before and during the project.
Knowledge And Skills
- Proficiency in problem-solving, the ability to work autonomously, and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrated expertise in import, export, domestic and international freight operations is a prerequisite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills.
- Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
- Willingness and readiness to travel for extended periods of time and stay in accommodations aboard vessel that are under active construction.
- Participation in structured cross-training activities to enhance proficiency across various departments, enabling effective backup support when needed.
- Demonstrated adaptability to change and a capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment is required.
Educational Background / Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, or a related field. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of freight forwarding.
- At least 2 years of experience in project management or account management.
- Prior experience as a Cruise Project Manager is considered a valuable asset.

Language Skills
- Fluent in both oral and written English.
- Proficiency in secondary languages is advantageous.
Computer Literacy
- Proficient in Microsoft tools, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Familiarity with CargoWise One is a significant advantage.
- Typing proficiency.
- Quick adaptability to new applications and software.
