Project Manager

This position is based in Andover, MA with a hybrid work schedule and is a permanent role within the Project Management Office of Draeger Medical Systems, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of product development and/or sustaining projects, ensuring overall project planning, execution, and closure to meet objectives within scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk constraints.
• Lead cross-functional teams (CFT) through the entire product development lifecycle—from conceptualization to production release—for new or existing devices, systems, IT, and/or related accessory products.
• Serve as the face and champion of the project, managing it as if it were your own business.
• Communicate key project performance metrics, status, key decisions, risk identification, and mitigation strategies to management.
• Ensure project documentation, including the Design History File (DHF), complies with internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) and FDA/industry regulations.
• Explicitly manage and mitigate project risks.
• Support program managers on large projects by managing a project or sub-project within the larger initiative.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree (required).
• Engineering degree (preferred).
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Project management degrees and/or certifications (nice to have).
• Five or more years of experience in the development of complex embedded systems, PC-based products, and/or electro-mechanical systems or devices.
• At least three years of experience in project management of cross-functional teams and development projects.
• Experience managing in a matrixed environment.
• Experience in medical devices (strongly preferred) or other highly regulated product development industries.
• Business experience working across multiple disciplines.

Work Environment

• Ability to travel nationally/internationally, up to 5-10% of the time.

Pay

The targeted pay range for this position is $106,000 - $127,200, with base pay varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.
