About the Role
Responsible for the profitability and successful execution of projects, including the quality of work performed, client service, business development, utilization of staff, reputation of the firm, contract management, billing, and project profitability. Must maintain satisfactory client relationships and relate to clients in a mature, thoughtful, professional, and pleasant manner.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Partner in Charge to identify, evaluate, and pursue priority business development (BD) opportunities to increase revenues as required by marketing and business plans.
- Assess targeted market potential and select target clients that fulfill the marketing plan and budget.
- Provide oversight of client/proposal tracking activities, including management and review of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), and proposals.
- Prepare estimated labor requirements, schedules, and other pertinent data; participate in fee proposals, negotiations, and contractual agreements.
- Ensure code compliance and coordinate with building officials regarding zoning status.
- Review documents prior to submission for in-house and client milestone progress reviews.
- Provide engineering oversight for all disciplines involved in the project and corrective instruction to design staff on engineering issues.
- Participate in design to a limited extent to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
- Ensure the project meets all client, agency, and firm quality standards from authorization through post-construction.
- Maintain accurate records, memos of conversations, and documentation in project files.
- Coordinate with the Partner in Charge to ensure proper invoicing for services performed.
- Participate in team member evaluations.
- Maintain an organized work area for efficient access to information by other team members.
- Attend seminars and continuing education opportunities to support ongoing learning.
- Perform additional assignments as requested or needed.
Requirements
- College degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering with an emphasis in HVAC, building electrical, plumbing, or fire protection, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a minimum of 10 years of qualified experience without a degree.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word) or related software.
- Proficient in using office equipment (e.g., computer, copier).
