Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan that outlines the scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements for the ERP modernization initiative.
• Establish a project team, define roles and responsibilities, and create a communication plan.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively address any deviations from the plan.
• Project and budget tracking in ServiceNow or similar systems.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with stakeholders, including the executive team, department managers, IT personnel, and end-users.
• Understand organizational requirements and objectives related to the ERP system.
• Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, communicate project updates, and manage expectations.

Budget Management

• Define and manage the project budget, tracking costs throughout the implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and develop contingency plans.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks associated with the migration process.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Implement risk assessment, response, and monitoring mechanisms.

Resource Management

• Oversee project resources, including project team members, vendors, and contractors.
• Ensure the team is appropriately staffed, trained, and motivated to achieve project objectives.

Change Management

• Facilitate change across the organization by promoting awareness and gradual adoption of the new Workday system.
• Address resistance to change and ensure a smooth transition for end-users.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare regular status reports, steering committee presentations, and other relevant documentation.
• Communicate project schedules, delays, and work changes to management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong project management skills, including budgeting, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience managing ERP implementation or migration projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with both Oracle and Workday systems is a plus.
• Background working for Higher Education environments is a plus.
