Job Summary
The Project Manager is the main point of contact for each artist represented by Create Music Group, ensuring all project requirements are met and processes are accurately completed.
Responsibilities
- Upon signing onboard the client (and potential catalog), handle onboarding for digital rights team on YouTube assets or initiate back catalog transfers.
- Act as the primary administrative point of contact for artists, booking travel and accommodations as needed, maintaining schedules, managing daily communications, and streamlining interactions with artists and their projects.
- Gather deliverables and communicate with artists and management regarding project submissions and deadlines. Coordinate with the accounting team for artist royalty payments and marketing service fees.
- Manage projects across multiple channels for various assigned artists, creating and maintaining project timelines and budgets, tracking activities, establishing clear paths for next steps, and facilitating relationships between artist stakeholders (digital marketing teams, creative services, label/distribution partners, booking agents, brand partners, publicists).
- Create album marketing plans and implement artist development strategies, identifying audience targets, planning and executing activations, maintaining overarching album marketing budgets, analyzing marketing impacts, developing artist narratives, and cultivating brand presence and ancillary revenue streams.
- Oversee ongoing digital marketing initiatives, tracking worldwide growth across artist social channels, securing site premieres for singles (audio and music videos), coordinating content pieces, and communicating with internal departments to ensure task completion.
- Collect and distribute all assets among departments (A&R, radio, press, syncs/licensing, executives, distribution, management) and maintain constant communication to ensure tasks are executed correctly.
- Oversee the calendar and update it in case artist management does not manage their schedule. Potentially oversee D2C marketing and merchandising, including brainstorming and execution.
- Bring in additional opportunities for artists, such as sessions, branding, DSP opportunities, etc.
- Commission video and photo content, including music videos (director selection, treatment and budget examination, on-site execution, buy-out agreements/contracts, final cut review and edits), LED and/or projected screen visuals for live shows, and press photos.
- Coordinate music clearances for single and album releases (if applicable, should not be for distribution deals), video content, and assist on music licensing opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Music Industry
- 2+ years experience in a similar role, preferably from the music or entertainment fields
- Advanced understanding of digital platforms
- Native user of social media platforms and familiarity with social media listening tools
