Project Manager
Location: Norcross, GA • Onsite with local project site travel • Full-Time, Direct Hire
About the role
Our client is a growing Georgia-based general contractor specializing in ground-up commercial construction, renovations, remodeling, and construction management. With continued expansion into larger commercial developments and multifamily projects, they are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join their team. This role offers hands-on involvement from pre-construction through project completion, with exposure to both horizontal site development and vertical building construction. The company is open to experienced construction professionals as well as motivated recent graduates looking to build their careers in commercial construction.
Responsibilities
- Support projects from pre-construction through final completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, field personnel, and project schedules
- Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Assist with site development activities, including earthwork, utilities, grading, and paving
- Coordinate vertical building construction activities
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, quality, and safety standards
- Coordinate materials and equipment to help maintain project schedules
- Participate in project meetings with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Prepare and maintain RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
- Identify project risks and assist in developing solutions to keep projects moving
- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and project standards
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Requirements
- Commercial construction, project management, project engineering, or related construction experience
- Ground-up construction experience or exposure
- Understanding of both horizontal site work and vertical building construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
- Fluent English communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel to project sites within approximately two hours of Norcross, GA
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish language skills
- Multifamily or apartment construction experience
- Experience with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar construction management software
Pay
$65,000–$85,000 annual salary, based on experience
