Project Manager
About the role
The Project Manager will be responsible for the field management of wireless telecom projects across multiple clients, providing turn-key network build services to customers.
Responsibilities
- Incumbent should be familiar with local fiber providers and their requirements
- Manage assigned field resources and projects to completion, ensuring that all field activities are coordinated and completed on time and within budget
- Develop accurate project plan and budget for all assigned projects, modify as needed and ensure that accurate, complete documentation is delivered
- Participate in internal deployment meetings with managers and team members to review the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion
- Customer facing role where he/she will provide customer(s) with comprehensive job status reports and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise
- Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained in order to deliver close-out documents to the customer in a timely manner in accordance with corporate and customer standards
- Create, assemble and verify documentation for billing on Sage
- Understand project scope and customer service level agreements and manage to them
- Document work outside of the project scope and assist Program Manager in creating change orders
- Able to work with a variety of personnel
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the telecommunications, or related industry
- 5 years of project management experience with 3+ years specific to the wireless telecom industry
- Strong MS Office required and experience with SiteTracker & Sage Software strongly desired
- Advanced knowledge of telecommunications project management
- Knowledge of Wireless Carriers databases a plus
- Ability to efficiently and effectively work with heavily matrixed organization and teams
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to direct the diagnosis of workflow problems, critical paths and institute remedies
- Ability to read and understand financial metrics and identify remedies to financial issues
- Customer service orientation with a strong problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication skills
