About the role

Project Managers oversee the financial success of construction projects, partnering with Architects, Engineers, and Owners to develop plans, identify project components, and ensure completion on budget and within scope.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the contract from project onset
  • Accurately document project updates, maintain logs, and document changes during construction
  • Establish the purchasing plan using negotiation skills and make timely decisions during buyout
  • Support the Superintendent with the project schedule, post monthly schedules, and take action to maintain or improve the schedule
  • Create and maintain proactive relationships with the project owner, acting on their behalf with urgency
  • Facilitate Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings, generating agendas and minutes
  • Submit owner pay applications correctly and timely
  • Maintain open communication with subcontractors
  • Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders, and process change orders as necessary
  • Ensure conformity with contract documents and scope of work, and address underperformance issues
  • Act as a project team leader, supporting and interacting with everyone involved in the project

Qualifications

  • Refined organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks for self, team, and projects
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, presenting, interpersonal, and written
  • Advanced mathematic and reasoning ability, and strong negotiating skills
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience with a General Contractor preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably within Construction Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project), and experience with (or ability to learn) Procore, office equipment, and internet tools

Pay

Salary range: $115,000 - $135,000 USD. In addition to a competitive base salary, employees are eligible for merit/performance incentives, project incentives, new hire referrals, and business development commissions.
