About the role
Bulley & Andrews (B&A) is seeking a Project Manager to join our collaborative, knowledgeable, and forward-thinking team. This role is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting activities concerned with the construction of projects, while also participating in the development of construction projects and overseeing their organization, scheduling, and implementation. This position will be based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control project(s) to ensure completion on schedule and within budget.
- Develop overall project schedule and manage it throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Confer with supervisors and foremen to discuss work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with various projects in collaboration with superintendents and foremen.
- Work closely with the project superintendent for all field-related issues.
- Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
- Lead and represent the company in project meetings, including OAC, pre-construction, and subcontractor meetings.
- Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling.
- Participate in RFP and interview efforts for potential projects in a support role.
- Responsible for RFI and submittal processes in collaboration with the Project Engineer (PE).
- Lead and/or participate in estimating efforts for potential projects.
- Responsible for contract awards and scope reviews, collaborating with Senior Project Managers (SPM) and Project Executives (PX) for major awards.
- Administer and execute the change management process.
- Establish processes for subcontractor communication with SPM, Assistant Project Managers (APM), and/or PE.
- Oversee all project start-up processes.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all permitting efforts.
- Responsible for CMIC management.
- Administer the payment application process and pencil draw review meetings with clients or support SPM/PX for larger-tier projects.
- Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of construction project management and accounting-related software applications preferred.
