Project Manager
Location: Central Office – Waco or Wallis
About the role
The purpose of this position is to provide project management support for the Brazos River Authority (BRA). Support functions include participating in BRA's risk-based capital planning and management initiatives; performing project management duties on select projects; identifying project challenges and recommending solutions; utilizing project management software tools; assisting with annual project budget preparation and performing monthly budget reviews; serving on project teams to develop Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate proposals, and select vendors.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects and support other Project Managers with development of project plans, schedules, budgets, documentation, scopes of work, meetings, invoices, presentations, BRA staff coordination, and consultant coordination.
- Develop project budgets and assist with annual departmental budget preparation and monthly budget status reviews.
- Prepare project narratives, project implementation worksheets, direct labor estimates, and monitor project expenditures and progress.
- Coordinate project meetings, schedules, and activities; serve as a liaison between team members and internal and external contacts.
- Compile comments/edits of weekly Project Status Overview reports and maintain project files.
- Assist with development and review of various documents including contracts, scopes of work, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, project reports, project submittals, and presentation materials.
- Visit project sites as needed to develop understanding of project goals and objectives, review project progress, meet with stakeholders, and coordinate activities to complete project tasks.
- Prepare project meeting minutes and summaries; track project deliverables and action items; present to stakeholders on project status.
- Research projects, topics, and materials; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum two years' experience or equivalent combination of education.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional Certification.
Pay
Starting salary range: $73,382.84 to $95,396 annually. This is an exempt position.
