Project Manager

About the role

The Project Manager at Ceres Technologies manages projects and customer relationships to ensure on‑time delivery of high‑quality projects for domestic and international customers. The role tracks and reports schedule and budget information, elevates instances where a project jeopardizes company profit expectations, conducts pre‑post analysis, and shares lessons learned with appropriate departments. Collaboration with process owners is required to develop solutions, gain sign‑off on solution design, and agree on approaches to enable build and test of those solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them.
• Create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.
• Coordinate internal resources, third‑party vendors, and suppliers for flawless execution of projects.
• Develop project plans, monitor and track progress, and assist in defining project scope and objectives with all relevant stakeholders.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and coach the team to clarify assignments and deliverables.
• Review quality of work, manage integration of team members’ contributions, and provide performance input to functional management.
• Proactively identify and manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget; plan and execute reassessment and amendment with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support other project managers and assist in various improvement initiatives.
• Analyze and manage risks, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events for mitigating actions.
• Determine successful project closure criteria, gain acceptance and sign‑off from all parties, and manage stakeholder satisfaction to secure customer references and success stories.
• Prepare status reports for upper management.
• Create value‑added project documentation and maintain project templates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product or equipment management.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (preferably Encompix) with solid understanding of discrete manufacturing, bills of material, and supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Office 365.
• New product development skills.
• Strong planning, communication, and prioritization skills.

Pay

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000.

Location

This role requires on‑site work at the Ceres Technologies office in Saugerties, NY.
