Project Manager

Manages projects and customer relationships at Ceres Technologies to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality projects for domestic and international customers. Tracks and reports schedule/budget information and escalates instances where a project is in jeopardy of not meeting company profit expectations. Conducts pre- and post-project analysis and shares lessons learned with appropriate departments. Collaborates with process owners to develop solutions, gain sign-off on solution design, and agree on approaches to enable build and test of those solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by project team members.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Develop project plans, monitor and track progress.
• Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility; set deadlines and assign responsibilities.
• Clarify assignments and deliverables to the project team; review quality of work and manage integration of team members' work; provide performance input to project team members’ functional management.
• Proactively identify and manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget; ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend scope, budget, and timeline.
• Support project managers and projects managed by colleagues; assist in various improvement initiatives.
• Analyze and manage risks, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.
• Determine successful closure criteria for all parties; gain acceptance and sign-off when closure is attained.
• Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer references and success stories.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding project status.
• Create value-added project documentation and help maintain project templates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 5 years in product or equipment management.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP (preferably Encompix) with a solid understanding of discrete manufacturing, bills of material, and supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• New product development skills.
• Strong planning and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office 365.

Pay

$80,000–$90,000

This role requires on-site work at our office in Saugerties, NY, with face-to-face collaboration as part of a dynamic team.
