Project Manager

About the Role

The primary role of the Project Manager is to provide technical support and project coordination for mid-sized capital, strategic, and efficiency projects/initiatives. This includes developing project cost estimates and schedules, designing solutions for facility and equipment projects, managing assigned projects to successful completion, and ensuring work is completed at or under budget. The Project Manager will also support plants in meeting OEE and spoilage targets as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage capital projects from project approval to close.
• Manage safety (EH&S) on all projects.
• Supervise project engineers and support Sr. Project Managers on larger Capex projects as needed.
• Work with AutoCAD drawings, including creating, editing, and updating (preferred).
• Support plants on facility project needs (civil, electrical, mechanical), problem-solving, and provide technical guidance.
• Develop detailed technical specifications for RFQ/RFP related to equipment and conveying purchases and installations.
• Participate in developing project cost estimates for capital approval request (CAR) submittal.
• Manage SAP documents, including drawings and project cost reporting.
• Work with procurement to issue and manage purchase orders and goods receipts.
• Generate AutoCAD drawings for project cost estimating and implementation as needed.
• Collaborate with suppliers on scope, estimates, quotes, planning, and execution.
• Communicate effectively with functional areas, plant operations teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Manage projects on 24/7 sites, ensuring work is done safely, on time, within budget, and meeting objectives.
• Ensure plants have the necessary resources to operate successfully post-project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 5-10 years’ work experience in engineering and/or high-speed manufacturing (can and/or end making/packaging) preferred.
• Experience leading and/or successfully completing projects.
• Ability to travel 50-75% of the calendar year (mostly domestic, may include international travel).
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
• Knowledge of high-speed manufacturing processes.
• Excellent analytical and mechanical skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong Project Management skills, with experience using MS Project (or equivalent).
• Preferred software experience: SAP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project.

Pay

The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between $110,900 and $166,300 per year. This role is bonus eligible, with the bonus incentive program based on the company meeting or exceeding certain targets. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles based out of Illinois. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including qualifications, experience, and work location.
